Events include our Research Showcase, which highlights some of our projects from the past year, guided tours of our labs in the Glencore Centre for Innovation, a live edition of the Unlikely Innovators podcast, the official grand opening of the Venture Lab, and the Student Innovation Challenge Powered by RBC.

Drop by and check out some of the exciting projects Cambrian R&D has undertaken this past year! Students and industry partners will be on hand to talk further about these partnerships. And, of course, innovation goes better with popcorn, so grab a bag and tour our Research Showcase.

Cambrian students will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive workshop led by Shouyi Ma from Hanson Canada, designed to inspire and support their entrepreneurial aspirations. He will share insights from his own entrepreneurial journey, provide valuable tips for business success, and answer student questions to help them achieve their goals.

Cambrian Student Innovation Challenge, Powered by RBC

April 3, 2025, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Cheer on Cambrian students pitching their business ideas to a panel of judges to compete for $6,500 in prize money. The event will also feature Kelly Scott, Managing Director of Barrydowne Paint and CEO of PaintPass, as the keynote speaker. Kelly will share her story and provide insights on everything from growing her business to overcoming the types of challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
This year’s judges include Julie Zulich, President and CEO of TESC Contracting Company Lt, Shouyi Ma, President and CEO of Hanson Canada, and Bill Bray from Royal Bank of Canada.
